If Newey does actually leave it's just reinforcing the statement I made over and over again:

"Horner would rather burn Red Bull Racing down than leave." pic.twitter.com/hBYKIIMf1y
You have read that Fernando Alonso refuted to [join] Red Bull because he doesn't want to pair with Max Verstappen.

But what would you say when Aston Martin successfully sign Adrian Newey and Max Verstappen also comes along then Aston Martin dismiss Lance Stroll?
“His desire to leave stems from his unhappiness over the situation involving Horner, which has led to a multi-faceted power struggle at Red Bull.”

Always said Adrian Newey was too good for such a toxic team. This is wonderful news, wherever he goes. https://t.co/9DXNR8oSaN
Lawrence Stroll has the perfect opportunity to have a Newey, Alonso, Verstappen, Honda team for 2026 and yet somehow Stroll will keep his seat.

Getting interesting now! The biggest chess piece of all, Adrian Newey, to leave Red Bull still unhappy about the Horner incident but where does he go?
— Tiff Needell (@tiff_tv) April 25, 2024
Did Alonso get a tip off that Aston is where he's headed? Surely it's there or the romantic dream of Ferrari with Lewis? Or ...
Christian Horner after Newey leaves, his golden boy driver goes Mercedes and he is left with Perez and Yuki driving around in 2026 with an engine that doesn’t work. pic.twitter.com/ycqGOsspI8

If the reason Newey is leaving is true, then Horner’s toxicity will destroy the brand too. https://t.co/Chw2yZhHYb

We don’t need Horner. We need Newey.
Thanks in advance,
All @redbullracing fans.
Fine but you have to PROMISE to not call me a knobhead. By reading this you legally promise not to

Newey wanted Horner to leave to limit the damage to Red Bull’s reputation and value. Newey then wanted to take over as Team Principal. This did not happen, so he is leaving https://t.co/aqO0uXr9KI
